DIRECTV NOW's DVR is Randomly Recording Unwanted Shows

Have you noticed a random show showing up in your DIRECTV NOW DVR? You are not alone as there seems to be a bug causing DIRECTV NOW to randomly record shows people did not set up a recording for. Not only is it randomly recording shows you didn't ask for DIRECTV NOW is sometimes recording shows from channels you do not subscribe to. When that happens you still can't watch the show but it will take up space in your DVR until you delete the show.
What exactly is causing these random downloads is unknown. AT&T has not commented on the issue, but the number of subscribers complaining about it is going up. The good news is you can delete the shows, but if your DVR is full, it will remove some of the recordings you wanted.
AT&T has promised a new DVR add-on to expand the DVR storage to 100 hours. Yet as of today that DVR option has yet to become a reality. Hopefully, first, they fix the phantom recording glitch first.
Again If you experience this glitch, it is not your account but an issue that is affecting multiple DIRECTV NOW subscribers. i
